The obverse legend seems to be: "la ilah illa / Allah Mohammad / rasul Al / lah?"
Mint Kath on the obverse. Anonymous coin? The star design reminds of #35474, which sometimes have been attributed to Shah Malik of Jand, he conquered Kath about AH 432 and ruled as Khwarazmshah Shah-malik al-Jendy b Ali. |

Yes, it's anonymous coin. I know six falses this type and two coin flans that were found on Sadvar archaeological site (Khwarizm region, Amu-daria r.).

You have uploaded it in the Mamunid category, but it could well be a later issue...

I'm not full sure that is Mamunid coins. An archaeological date is not clear, also.

Anonymous coins of Kath (placed after the Mamunids?)
|

Not AFTER. Mamunids or Anushteginids time.

Mamunids - AH 385-408
Ghaznavid governors (Altuntash and others) - AH 408-434 Seljuk governors - AH 434 -... Anushteginids - AH 470-629 This anonymous coin was maybe issued after the Mamunids (the Mamunid coinage was not anonymous), perhaps by Ghaznavid or Seljuk governors ? |

Well, sub-category is ready. Tentatively placed after Mamunids (until better versions).
